Privacy Policy

Overview

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information FanVetted (OZ TRI-TECH, Hattalova 1071/8, 831 03 Bratislava, Slovakia) collects, how we use it, and your rights. We aim to comply with applicable data-protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information we collect

• Account information: if you create an account, your email address and a display name.
• Content you submit: reviews, ratings, tags, favorites, collections, creator suggestions, and messages you send us (including DMCA/contact-form submissions).
• Log and technical data: when you visit, our servers and providers may log your IP address, browser type/version, pages visited, and timestamps. We store a hashed form of your IP address to prevent spam and abuse (e.g. duplicate reviews), not to identify you.
• Cookies and local storage: small pieces of data stored in your browser (see below).

How we use your information

To provide and operate the Site; to authenticate you and keep you logged in; to display and moderate reviews; to prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; to send you transactional emails (such as account and confirmation emails) and, if you opt in, alert emails; to respond to your requests; to improve the Site; and to comply with our legal obligations.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process personal data on the bases of: performance of a contract (providing the Site to account holders); your consent (e.g. optional alert emails, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the Site, and preventing abuse); and compliance with legal obligations.

Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local/session storage to keep you signed in and to run core features (for example, preventing duplicate votes and rate-limiting submissions). We do not currently serve third-party advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

Email

Transactional and (optional) alert emails are sent via our email provider (Resend). You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the link in the email or your account settings.

Service providers we share data with

We use trusted third-party processors and share personal data with them only as needed to provide their services: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Cloudflare (bot/abuse protection via Turnstile). We may also disclose information to courts, regulators, or law-enforcement authorities where required by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Our providers may store or process data in countries other than yours. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we do so in accordance with applicable law and take steps to ensure it is protected consistently with this policy.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, or as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. When no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

Security

We protect personal information using commercially reasonable measures. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password secure.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Slovakia, the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic). To exercise any right, contact mail@fanvetted.com; we may need to verify your identity first.

Children

FanVetted is an 18+ service. We do not direct the Site to children under 18 and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; changes are posted at this URL and take effect when posted.
